When created by yourself using FactSage, the expiry date of a CST file is set by the FactSage version that is used to create the CST file.

As an example, a CST file created with FactSage version 8.1 will always have an expiration date of June 31, 2023. This reflects a typical validity period of approx. 2 years relative to the release date of the FactSage version used.

Note that this validity period of 2 years is not counted from the date the CST file is written, but counted from the release date of the FactSage version.
