Frequently Asked Question

How do I find out my Dongle ID?
Last Updated 2 years ago

There are two approaches to identify your dongles.

First approach: For identifying dongles related to FactSage

If you are using a HASP USB dongle with the batch key sticker KEYKE or AQWDB, then you can see your Dongle ID listed under the Sentinel License Manager here (column "Key ID").

If you cannot open the Sentinel License Manager, then this means that you would have to install the dongle drivers manually first before the dongle can be detected and identified.

Please refer to this FAQ article on installing the dongle driver manually for further info.

Second approach: For identifying non-FactSage licenses or dongles

If you want to identify your dongle and/or check for non-FactSage licenses, you should use the LicenseInfo utility.

  • For KEYKE dongle users, please download the LicenseInfo installer to identify your dongle. Unzip and run the installer to install LicenseInfo which can then be called from start-menu or from a desktop shortcut.
  • For AQWDB dongle users, whose dongle was issued by our partners CRCT/THERMFACT, then please use a separate LicenseInfo-AQWDB.exe utility, that can read these set of dongles. To run the program, unzip all the zip folder contents which you downloaded into a separate folder and run the exe LicenseInfo-AQWDB.exe

Please make sure that the dongle is attached to your computer before running the utility. This tool scans the dongle and check its licenses and their validities. It also displays the dongle's details such as it's ID, dongle type and batch code. This info helps us to identify your dongle and prepare if necessary, the license updates for this dongle.

We would need a screenshot from the details displayed by this utility to proceed further.
